Injuries from accidents more likely on bright sunny days

Living in Canada, we tend to worry about having an accident during the winter when the roads are snow covered and slippery.  Not necessarily so found Sunnybrook Hospital physician and epidemiologist Dr. Donald Redelmeier.

Over the 20 year study, Dr. Redelmeier found that “the majority of life-threatening traffic crashes happened in the daytime, and the risk increased with bright sunlight.”   The full article from Sunnybrook Hospital’s Communications Advisor, Alexis Dobranowski, can be read below.
